Intake, Intake swap

Just bought a new 06 Busa & was told it had an intake, intake swap conversion. Can someone enlighten me on what this means? Thank You.

Intake cam swap? Putting an intake cam in the for the exhaust.

but you have to degree the cams...not just swap it out.

Yes, the cams were degreed I'm told. All of this is over my head right now. I'm only CURRENTLY fluent in 2-stroke world. What benefit is this mod to my Busa? Guess I just dont understand the significance.

One of the most popular Busa modifications is to swap out the stock exhaust cam for a stock intake. The intake cam has a higher lift profile than the exhaust for more flow and power. The main problem encountered when doing this mod is that the intake cam sprocket has to be installed in a different "index" for the exhaust cam. APE solves this problem by supplying these cams with our adjustable cam sprockets indexed for use on the exhaust.

These are brand new factory Suzuki cams, with new bearing and APE adjustable sprocket. Ready to install. Works with stock valve springs. Direct bolt-in.
