waiting delivery of mine I bought from the Group Buy. I personally can't find any downside to using one. I would like to know if it hurts the engine, things like that. I have read that using the TRE lowers the mileage on a tank of gas. I will have a first hand testimonial as soon as it arrives. few more days

I can really tell a difference in my bike with it and I developed a miss so I removed it in process of elimination and the bike is back to jerk at low idle/low speed.

Seriously though, for Gen-II, the X-tre is one of the more popular items. Hard to keep them in stock and that alone speaks for itself.

I along with several others have asked about this...
General consensus is ppl who have them love them, ppl who dont think they are pointless. Ur average guy who knows enough about a bike to get in trouble will brag about it but the ppl who live squat and die for motorcycles will tell u ur wasting ur money!!
My advice is to listen to the experts and not the average rider on this one...
