Have a friend coming over tomorrow to have me do oil change , tighten chain and install K&N filter.
How difficult are the fairings on these bikes ?
What is oil capacity on them ?
What size nut is axle nut and what's the torque spec on it ?
Removing tank cover and tank to get to airbox what am I looking at there as well ?

I looked and searched on a couple Cbr forums but reading them and this place is like comparing a comic book to an encyclopedia .
I'm hoping some of the knowledge gurus here can help me .

Thanks

on my f4i the fairings are easy to take off, easier than the Busa. getting to the airbox is as simple as the busa too.
don't have any details on any torque specs or wrench sizes though, sorry.

i have found a bike, is a bike. most are pretty simple. i have faith in ya.

reminds me of someone who did a video tutorial for Gen II fairing removal :whistle:

I watched that awhile ago .
Amateur director and filmographer.
Leaves alot of questions unanswered and doesn't even put them back on ?
The guy who did the tutorials here is a master in his own mind :)

I just bought an 08 a bit ago. The fairings are very easy to remove. Couple of allen head bolts and thats it. I know I bought 4 quarts of oil but my buddy did the change on it for me. Don't believe it took a whole 4 quarts though. 3 and a piece is what he said I think.

3.3 quarts of 10w40

Airbox is just as easy as the Hayabusa

Fairings are a few bolts, like someone else mentioned

Rear axle nut = 83ft-lbs

Holy crap that friggin' factory oil filter was on there !
Took us forever and five different tools to get it off !
All else went fine .
