Hard on the steering lock?

Is it hard on the steering lock to jerk the bars slightly to make sure it's locked? I just ask cause I am pretty OCDish about doing that

unless your really jerking hard, i wouldn't think it would be a problem. they were ment to be used. just not beat on. i tap mine regularly, with no worries.

:poke: just don't try to drive off with a lock on your disk, that would be bad.

A gentle tap should cause any harm just don't do pull ups on it.

Also I second the break rotor lock being taken off prior to ridding. Lets just say things get real interesting when that front wheel suddenly stops moving.

Naw, don't worry about it - but it's either locked or unlocked and it doesn't take a hard tug to figure that out.

Regarding the rotor lock, probably a good idea for some folks, but make sure you get one with the coiled plastic cable you can attach to the handlebars. You could really hurt yourself if you forget to remove it.

Yep, it's probably damaged. It'll get worse and one day your steering will lock up. Better not ride.

LOL Don't worry so much.
