Michelle has been bugging me for a while to "upgrade" Violet's paint job... She had Caesar's frame painted a few years ago to "complete the stripe through the frame...it really adds a "finished touch" to the Busa.

So, I got started this evening...prepping Violet for some paint.

Here's a before shot:

First, gotta get rid of the stickers:

I used a laser to mark the tape lines:

Tape is on:

Time to mask off the rest of her:

All covered up:

Tomorrow, I hope to paint her. It's raining right now, so depending on how humid it is tomorrow, I'll either paint or wait...

More pics to follow...

frame cover ??? I think the weld on the frame will take a little away from the look :dunno:

But good luck and can't wait:thumbsup:

I think it will look OK....

Here's Caesar:

Always liked that look. It's gonna look awesome!

I want my frame / dash panels painted!! Thinking about painting 'skidmark' orange / black though. Similar to the gen 2 paint scheme... really the only gen 2's I think look good. Just something about it. And, I really like orange!!

Omar you misunderstood

She said you needed a face lift

That will look really good once your done, Finish it off so to speak, They should have made it stock that way.

As long as you have the paint gun out, you cant go wrong with Sonoma Candy Red

I'm really happy with the way it turned out...a couple of mistakes, but they are not noticeable...well, I can see 'em LOL.

Not bad for ColorRite rattle-can... The color is a spot-on match and all the lines match up! I need to wait about 5 days or so for it to cure and then I'll button her up....

Next, I may tackle the inners...
