New Suzuki? Not a Busa...

That is the Bandit with a very small facelift. Been here for a long time, but not great sales in the US market.

Okay....I never paid any attention to the Bandit line...find it interesting that it's still around...

It's been out in europe for a while, they're just now bringing it to the US. Think of it as a bandit with a 1250cc engine.

Been in the US since 2007, looks like the one 2011 model just has a small piece of extra plastic.

That bike and its smaller sibling the GSX650F is what replaced the Katana. Good bikes.

Exactly. That's good ol' Katana with a bumped up displacement. Ah, the memories. I wonder what happened to my '96 Katana 600 I sold to a young guy who was about to get his MC license...

here it is in our camper

6 different versions available depending on the country / market.

Naked, half faired, full faired.
Each with or without ABS.

A few other differences between them but just about all in the trim,
Panels, clocks etc, nothing mechanicaly.

Not a bad bike, just a bit basic and a little down on performance.
The torque / grunts OK but they lack top end, its just not what they are about.
For me they lack the raw feel of the 1st oilcooled Bandits and dont
have the easy to upgrade GSXR motor now they have gone water cooled.

Riden a couple and thought about buying one as a pillion / luggage bike one
day if I couldnt stretch to another Busa and wanted a new bike.
The riding position suits me and they dont have the B-Kings crap pillion seat
and have a slightly better fuel range with their bigger tank.

Their biggest problem is there are much higher spec, more performance bikes
out there. Folk seem to think they cant live with 100hp / 75ftlb when to be
honest its enough for a sensible useable bike.
Nothing wrong with them, they are just a little further down the ladder.

In Australia the ABS / Non-ABS can be spotted by the bikes colours.
The ABS gets one colour, the non ABS another.

The full faired version is not a half faired bike with lowers fitted.
The full fairing is more similar to the 650 version's with sharper lines.

The ABS versions are also easy to spot from the "toothed" looking
centre arond the front wheel spindle / wheel centre.
Below: Faired / Half faired with ABS, the Naked without.

Interesting to see the price in the 1st post's link as being $11,599
when the Busa's listed at $13,699. I would have thought that would
have gone against it.

I know folk's in the US buying B-Kings new for $8000 and as a naked
bike they slaughter the 1250 if you can live with the looks.
