I have a service manual, but its vague. Do the spark plugs come out when taking the valve cover off? Any insight would be great. I am starting this project tomorrow morning. Just got the gaskets in today.

You have to remove the plugs first to be able to get the cover off..
the manual also says you need to remove the TB's but it's not necessary...
just a hell of a lot easier.. You also need to remove things on the inside of the frame but you'll notice what..

Make sure you don't bend the cover when removing it, it's made of magnesium and doesn't bend, it breaks..

Well I got the cover off, applied the new gasket, applied Permatex gasket maker to the cam end caps of the gasket and installed back on bike. It is leaking like a siv... I hate this bike......

Sure it's leaking from the cover??? It's a pretty thick gasket, then again, I put the gasketmaker all around..
Mine was leaking from the oil hoses from the cylinder to the head and from the crankcase to the camchain tensioner
