need help

I am repacking my muffler. I have a yosh trs carbon fiber. I have the muffler off and I have drilled out all of the rivets. I can not get the inlet end cap off. I have hit it with a rubber hammer and pulled very hard on the cap. The only glimmer of hope I have is that when I hit it with the hammer I can make it go in a tiny bit and then I can pull it out a tiny bit but that's all the movement I can make happen. Any tips or encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

Heat it up a bit by either running bike or with a propane torch .
Metal expands with heat and this may allow core to slip out ?
