How is this price for Insurance...

Rider Insurance in NJ wants 1500 years for Full Coverage for my 2003 Busa with a $750 deductable. This will not cover any of my Turbo parts, etc... If I wreck the bike they will give me book value. I went on KBB at they list it at $6300.

How does this price sound for a 27 year old with no accidents, tickets, etc..
I still don't have the piece of mind though since the cost of my turbo build (Over 7K) would be lost. They do not offer any additional coverage on sport bikes. :banghead:

Im 25, State farm, with one claim when I messed up the rear end of my mustang.. $450/yr I think..

That sounds real high......do you have any wrecks on your record? Maybe it is just the state, I pay $48 a month for full coverage with a $500 ded on my '06.

My buddy had real high insurance on his bike we are both the same age 31 but he had a few wrecks on his record.

No wrecks. No tickets. Perfect credit... The bike is regsitered in NJ. They say this type of bike has a high rate of theft and it is a high cc.... Good thing I didn't even mention the Turbo to them lol.

I'll try Geico and State Farm....

State Farm $210 full coverage for six months . SF doesn't go by category only CCs.
Give them a call .

Dairyland. Insuring my 08 Busa and 07 HD for less than $700 / year.

Where are you in N.J. ? This area is high because of thefts (NY,NJ, DE, & PA).

Try State Farm, and then try Dairyland, that's who I have, and they were below half of what everybody else was wanting, and mine is REAL HIGH compared to everyone else !

I pay like $490.00 down, then $190.00 a month for the next 9 months, and get the last 2 free. But that's still over $2,200 a year ???

PLEASE let me know how you make out !!

geico here in florida 781 a year 500 ded's clean dl except 1 accident on my 2007 in sept 2007 5000 they laid out to fix it.

$34/ month with State Farm. It wouldn't hurt looking into them, but be upfront about the turbo and everything else that you want covered.

this is what thet want in Pa and im 34 with a good record

I would shop around to get a better price. I have an '06 LE with full coverage and 8K in accessories coverage and pay less then 1500 a year. I am 30 and do have some colorful tickets.

*UPDATE*

So, for the heck of it I called Progressive which I have for my car. They quotes me at 1200 bucks a year for full coverage with $500 duductable. Rider was $1500 with a $750 duductable - GREAT! Now, I asked what does Progressive offer for covering aftermarket parts on the bike. She says they have a standard of 2 or 3K which you get automatically with comprehensive. I told her I need about 8K extra worth of coverage and she said no problem and it upped the premium to only $1288 for the year!! I read online and it seems like it will cover performance parts.

This seems too good to be true. Does anyone have any feedback on Progressive's extra coverage on aftermarket parts and if it would cover the turbo job?

Thanks
