Muffler ?

I didn't want to thread jack, so I'll ask here.....

Is there a way to get a muffler from one style/brand to fit a header from another ?

I was just wondering if you could take both ends into a muffler shop, and have them make you a fitting ? Would this hurt performance ?

Someone has had to try this before, wright ?

If the pipes have the same inlet diameter, it would not be hard to make a bracket to attach them.

Most systems have a midpipe and this midpipe can be removed and flared or downsized to fit new muffler , no ?

Anything is possible with a little bit of fabrication. Whoever modifies your midpipe will probably need the entire bike to make sure everything mounts up nicely.

You'll probably want to get it tuned also if your comming from stock.

I have a full system, with a custom tune on it now. Would I need to have it re-mapped ?

Not to be a smarta$$, but if you notice a drop in power or throttle response, then yes. You may luck out and see no difference, and not need to. Any change in the bikes performance are likely not to be dramatic anyway. A dyno tune of course is always best, if you can.
