See you all are talking about Pledge on your bike...I have used it does a good job..Also I use Windex window cleaner..Have used it for along time..It gives a great shine..I think it also is alot easier to get off than pledge..Just wondering if anyone has tried it..I lso use windex on my car and trk.sometime..

The paint.
It will strip all the wax/pledge right off and leave it totally unprotected.
Ammonia is acidic.
Are you using it to clean then Pledge/wax it later ?

Dont use windex! Say goodbye to your wax and protectants. Windex can be used for a wax and grease remover in a paint shop if ya run out and are in a bind, so it can't be good for any paint job.
Pledge does work good but has no UV protection, check out and trailer queen at a show they use it for a quick polish and helps keep the dust down at shows.

Windex no good at all you need to put a coat of wax back on your bike pronto.

Ammonia is alkaline (ph > 7.3), not acidic. It is corrosive, however.
