I've seen data that says it's not beneficial to have a "ram-air" turbo mount. It can actually hurt you as turbo inlets are not designed to have air forced into them. It can cause the same problems that putting a wire screen over a turbo can cause, or having too small an air filter.

Thats why theres more than one option when it comes to AFM.
After Folks got tired of hearing Henry Ford say
"you can have it light black , medium black or dark black"
they got to doing their own thing.

It does look kinda yoogly but if it functions well that is all that matters.
Seems like if you tried to ride it on the road it would either wanna fall over or drag that thing but its a purpose built dragster so who cares.

A side mounted turbo can usually create the same HP but do it with making less boost and therefore deals with lower temps.

I read post 12 and didnt see the real benefit, power is power, but this makes sense.
