Time to replace my stock chain and sprockets. They have lived a hard life of no adjusting(accept when I replace tire) and not ever oiling. Yeah I was bad! I know. But I only really communte on my bike and was thinking about trying to squeeze a few more miles on the tank by dropping to a 40 tooth in the rear. What do you guys think?

Bike has 22k currently on stocker.

Running 92/93 at 5k and 85 at 4.5k These are my cruising speeds.

I also ride double and don't know if dropping 3 in the back would make a big diff?

I run a 40 on the rear, still has plenty of zip. made the speedo read right at 80 per the GPS

also oil it not just a maintenance issue but also a safety issue, you want a link failing at those speeds? it could eat your leg up brother

I think dropping 1 would leave you in a desireable area, dropping 3 would make a big diff, however the busa has a lot to give up, so that is still your call.

im just happy with the stock set up , plenty of every thing there for me
