Help... Escort Radar Direct Wire Install

Why couldnt it be just plug and play???

So I got the direct wire from escort so I free my cigarette 12v power chord.

I am pasting the instruction sheet front and back and a pic of the wire with both connections... So what goes where and how? Please dont use 'electrical terminology, like ground and what not, try to be as clear and simple as you possibly can... Sometime I wonder how the hell I was able to install all the other electrical stuff on my bike!!!

Black wire to Neg, Other wire to positive....
I just cut my wires and made then a lot shorter and added my own ends.

Where do you want to wire it in at? In the nose, there's an unused connector, brown wire (+12V) and Black wire (ground). You can cut the connector off and splice your wires on to the ones in the nose. Then you'll have switched power (the brown wire only has +12V when the key is on).

Or get with Smithabusa and he'll sell ya a "plug-n-play" connector for the one in the nose.

Nevermind guys... I did it... iride I did exactly that... I simply cut both wires and connected each end to a loop, then simply inserted in the screw of the -ve and positive respectively. worked like a charm!

THanks guys... Omar You idea is too advanced for me... lol... but it would be great actually to connect directly at the nose... as thats where the detecter will be mounted...
