need advice on new tires

hi all i am new to the forum. my issue is i have an 07 busa with 10,700 miles on the original tires. my rear has about 1000 mile left on it. called the dealer and was told the tire thats on it goes for about $350. does this sound right?

That no too far off. The last set I mail ordered was right at 300 just for tires, then mount and balance. What kind of tires are they? Welcome to the oRg!

I can usually get a rear for 200 shells, and my dealer installs for $21.20. 350.00 sounds high for a single tire.

i just picked up a rear BRIDGESTONE BT-016 190/55ZR17 for $200 out the door. i told the guy what i was looking for and that i can't spend any more than 2 bills. that is with the wheel pulled of the bike and brought to the dealer.

If I were the OP, I'd be as proud as a peacock getting 7K miles from a BTO56. I think the Avon Storms would serve his purpose quite well.

jeez, i can hardly get 2k miles out of the factory rear. you can get a factory rear for 140 shipped from motorcyclesuperstore.com, or try one of the vendors who support the site.

OMG !!! Am I reading this right ?? $350.00 for just the rear tire mount/bal/etc. ?? DON'T DO IT, THAT'S WAY TOO MUCH $$$

You can get a BT016 online for 199.00 and pay usually $20-$30 for mount/balance.

WOW! 10,700 miles on a tire?? I want a set of those!! Best I ever get is around 5,000!!!
