wow glad your ok. hitting a deer is my biggest fear when riding. i hit one on a 4wheeler once at 70mph and it knocked 2 teeth out. you should post those pics on a harley forum. 80% of those guys just wear skull caps

Ouch! Wow! Sorry about the get off. I can relate as I hit one not long ago.

DMV should set up some sort of school for deer - to teach them how to cross the road.

HOLY poop man.
thats CRAZY rash right to the facial region.
you convinced me- no more riding without the helmet period-- i've taken the occasional around town trip without it but after seeing how something like that can happen..
man..

like everyone else though, im really glad to hear your safe and sound. cute kids, and dont worry about the bike, as spills go that looks like an easy fix.
Goodluck mate!

Craziness just plain craziness! This F'ing deer shid is out of control. I can only imagine how many similar posts like this are being posted up on motorcycle boards across the nation Unfortuantely I am sure there are some that don't end the way yours did.

They scare the shid outta me to be quite honest. Very happy to hear you walked away w/ only some bad bruising

So to the org my friend. And thanks for sharing. Is this event what got you to post up for the 1st time? Just curious?

Man its crazy to imagine what would have been if you did not have your gear on. I am glad you are ok and able to go home to hug your kids. In the end that is all that matters.

aboard!

Sorry about the dear. I haven't been out running them over with my truck yet this year. I hope you sent the dear to a butcher. Dear is a bit more salty, but tastes great.

Thank you for wearing good gear. It's tough to read that we lost another fellow rider. Those two cuties are worth at least a set of leathers and a good helmet.

+2 on posting that on a Harley forum.

So good to see you made it though that and share the rest of the night with those cute little ones Can't stand the deer so bad around here this time of year that we dont even ride the back roads after dark-in the daylight they look like spectators lined up watching a road race. DNR sells additional tags for just $10 in hopes of getting rid of the high numbers for the last 5 years. Good thing that wasn't a buck with a big rack, that could have been really bad

Do you need a license if you are hunting deer with a Busa? I have come way too close a few times. I know its just around the corner and hope that it stays to close calls and I never hit one. At least its almost winter and you can work on it without missing any ride time
