It's more of an old time hard core biker thing. We brothers have been giving each other things to put on our bikes since returning from WWII. It's a way to carry your brother with you in your travels down the road, have good luck and the all important warm fuzzies. It could be a piece of leather, a beer can tab, a foot peg or other piece for your bike and even a bell. Mainsteam RUB as it may seem, it means alot to old and new riders alike. We do sort of the same thing here on the Org. The Pay it Forward thread is full of peeps giving others parts and things, mostly for free. Superstition? maybe. But knowing some one cared enough to give you something is priceless.
Sitting here quietly until someone ticks me off..
No worries man, takes more then that to offend me... have real good sense of Ha-Ha!You know how I know you got the gay? That was a test and if you saw a bike you are a little gay and if you say you saw the bell you're somewhat gay. If you photoshopped the bell to make sure you found it you're hopelessly gay!
I'm just messing with you so please don't take offense.![]()

If you're not living close to the edge, then you're taking up too much space.
Fast is easy. Quick is hard.

Im superstitious, I have a bell. The land I built my house on is haunted by dead indians.
A buddy of mine gave me one and I put it on the bike one morning last November. 20 minutes later, I dumped the bike in a slow turn. Hadn't had a crash before that time.
Took it off the bike and haven't had a crash since. Won't put another one on, ever.
And that's about as superstitious as I get!
