Does 4 qts fill the sump and the filter?

I'm saying if I change the filter, 4 qts will fill the filter and still show full in the window?

Yes, the motor doesn't take quite four quarts according to the book but I always pour in one gallon with a new filter and the oil in the sight glass is right near the top.

If I remember correctly its north of Boise on 55 north of Cascade around McCall. I don't think its as far north as 95 at New Meadows.
