This is where it started. I was 15 and my parents bought me a Honda Spree scooter. I literally rode this thing until it seized up on me. There wasn't a free moment I wasn't riding this sucker. It was GREAT at jumps, too! Oh man, and wheelies....wow.

Ah, my 1984 Honda 400. Wow this bike sucked. It was so slow I thought at times I could jump off and run faster!

The 1991 Suzuki GS500E. This bike was, hands down, so much better than the 84 Honda. I actually got this bike up to 120mph one time, which is amazing for a 500. I loved this bike and I still miss it! I sold it in 1995.

1983 Suzuki GS1000GK. I had this bike in conjunction with my 91 GS500E. This bike was okay, but very cumbersome in traffic. I got rid of it in 1994.

1997 Suzuki Katana. This bike sucked. I hated it, hated it, HATED IT! I don't know why I even bought it. Let's chalk it up to a lack of research. The bike had ZERO power anywhere in the rpm range.

2004 Suzuki GSX-R 600. Never should have sold this bike. It was a BLAST!!!! I could zip through traffic like never before! Wife didn't like it because the back seat was made for an anorexic 18 year old rather than a regular sized 38 year old.

2004 Honda VTX1800R. Traded in my Gixxer 600 for this so my wife could ride with me. In 4 years I put less than 5,000 miles on it. I hated riding it and hated the lifestyle a cruiser brings you. Traded it in this year for my Busa.

2007 Hayabusa. Finally found the right match for me!!!! I love this bike like no other and will be a Busa fan as long as Suzuki churns them out!

Wow, thakns for sharing those. I came to the busa from a VTX1800R myself. SOmetimes I Miss that bike, but most of the time, no not really. Maybe I'll get another one when I get older.

Very fun. Makes me want to do one for myself. Unfortunately, pics of my own bikes are lost to posterity, or hidden in some old boxes of photos, which is about the same.

Surprised you hated your Katana so much. My 2001 Kat 600 wasn't a bad bike at all. A little low on power, but you could rake her through the gears and the handling was decent. Not a GSXR600, but not a total slug either.

My wife absolutely loved her mid-1980's GS450E, which is the ancestor of your much loved GS500 - basically the same engine.

SWEET! Eventually everyone ends up with the fastest bike...in the fastest color...
