FI light has me puzzled

Ok whats the deal. Why would the FI light start flashing around 10.5k to redline on a hard run? I know my motor builder says the NOS will kit it on but this weekend when i was just running hard with no NOS the light started to flash. The motor builder said the stock fuel injectors will max out at 250hp and throw the light, but im not close to that with the juice...whats the deal?

I don't know if this is entirely relevant to your situation but,

Last season I was using a PCIII-R and was having trouble with fuel mixture.
I believe running a bit rich.
Anyway, whenever I got near the limiter my FI light would come on, and stay on, until I restarted the bike.
Restarting resets the indicator.

What code was it throwing?

sounds like what mine is doing. I seen it do it on the dyno when they put the motor together and hit the juice but that was the only time untill last weekend. Guess its back to the tuner for me.
