Oil volume for aftermarket cover

I understand that 4 qts is the normal amount of oil after an oil change...I have a MRE quick change deal that does not have a sight glass...is 4 qts still the recommended volume or a touch more because the cover is slightly bigger?

Thanks for any help, Ryan

No stick...the sales guy said to use 4 qts + a touch...I just want to confirm what the other guys here use...

Not sure what increase in capacity your cover has? Since the book calls for slightly less than four quarts (I use 4 anyway) not sure if the 'extra' would be enough or not. Should this have been asked before you installed it?

Look at the OEM and see where the oil will sit in the sight glass.
Compare that OEM shape with the shape of the new one and see if the volume at the level of the sight glass is larger on the MRE.
I have looked at the pics and a touch more would be probable.
Less than 1/4 of a quart as a guess.

well there is very little oil in the cover anyway so doubt there is much if any difference in the amount to keep system full.. no sight glass? better stay on mileage and oil changes..
