What is involved on a ape cam-chaim adjuster

I was looking into one of these because I see that alot of the org have them on their machines. So is it just a bolt on install, or is there some sort of adjusting that need to be done? For all of you who run these. Does anyone have anything bad to say about them?

I don't have one, and I'm not sure why I'm going to need one on my Busa. I have read for the CBR6004Fi which has a problem with the CCTL makes lots of noise with the automatic adjuster and some replace them with the manual adjuster. It sounded like when you replace you have to adjust it to ensure you have the tension of the chain adjusted properly. I'm sure you can find the instructions on the Web somewhere....

I don't have one on my engine but have put it on others. Simple replacement instal. Adjust until the ticking goes away.

Thanks i hope that solves my noise issue. Is there ever a way to tell if the stock one is bad?

what year ? my 99 has been recalled twice by suzuki and been replaced on both accounts, never sounded noisy to me though
