Default (dino) oil

I am interested in just dino oil. I was just curious how these 2 oils compare? And if anyone is using them and how it is working out? thanks

Sorry, all my recent experience (last ten years or so) has been with Valvoline 10/40 motorcycle specific engine oil. I run it in my 30 yr old air cooled CBX that has 50,000 miles on it. Before that I ran it in a 1360cc air/oil cooled Suzy V-twin and ran up and down I-5 in 100+ temps and on tour with no problems. Oh, had to get this in, I run full synth Amsoil in my 82 CBX that has over 91,000 miles on it and in my 06 Busa since breakin and have had 27,000 trouble free miles on it.

I run Castrol GTX dino in my 14. And I run Mobil racing syn in my busa. I run dino for break in, then switch to syn. So far both oils in both bikes have been working great

I've always run Honda's GN4 oil. I've never had a problem in any bike (this is my second 'busa), or my son's ZX-14. Just my opinion!

I think everyone will agree that synthetic oil performs better than dino oil. Synthetic is so slippery it may actually give you another one or two hp. If I were racing, I'd use it. We actually use synthetic in our race bikes and it performs well. However, I use suzuki's dino oil in all of my road bikes, even my track/road bike. Dino is far less expensive and it works just fine for normal use and probably works just fine for race use. I do lots of track days and I always change the oil before a track day unless there are two consecutive track days in a row.

I've owned 6 busa's, all on dino oil along with a lot full of Gixxer's all on dino oil without an issue. It all boils down to personal preference. One of the reason's I stick with suzuki oil is, if there is a warranty issue there can be no dispute over oil preference and it's cheap.
