Sometimes threads just start to run away and it's easy to just clean up the thread and move on...

I saw that post and read it. I was interested in it, although I admit I had my doubts. Number crunching would be needed here. I come back to see what was happening and wham! No more post!!! From what I could gather he never mentioned any kind of electronic override or gearing change to achieve said speeds but damn if I wasn't curious nonetheless. That's the last I saw of the thread and now I may never know.

Just for the record for everyone that feels us admins need to lighten up.

Believe it or not we are human also. And we have a cup that gets full and can overflow.

The more crap we see flying around on this board the less tolerance we have.

So while all of you might just think we were over reacting to one thread or to one post, we are looking at the pulse of the board in general, and if we start to see too much going on all over the board then we tend to start cracking down on everything to pull the reigns in a little you might say.

There has been an upswing of different threads going south, people getting their feelings hurt, racist flag being dropped, border line pictures.

So as I said, when we start to see what we feel is a trend in the over all health of the board heading in the wrong direction we try to over compensate at the helm in order to get the ship back on course.

We have our own section where we pretty much discuss a lot of things behind the scenes, and we often get opinions from each other as to if we might be over reacting too much or not enough.

Like for example in the failed thread, I had deleted a lot of posts, I posted the ones I deleted in our area and asked everyones opinion, some said some of the stuff I deleted probably wasn't needed to be deleted and other things did cross the line.

So I took that and throttle back some.

I think all of us current admins have been doing this for at least a year or longer, and it seems most members enjoy how this board is different from other boards.

None of us are doing anything different, we are still doing things as we have been, just once in awhile certain subjects will cause grief with some or a lot of the members.

I guess what i am asking is just trust us, we all do this for free, in our spare time, we are human we will make mistakes, but I think over all we have a good group of admins running this board and I think for the most part we do a good job, and the times that you might perceive we screwed the pooch somewhere, just realize we are humans, we do make mistakes and just forgive us, we will make it up somewhere down the line by slamming someone you personally hate

VERY WELL SAID. That is what makes this place better than most if not all the other org.s out there.

Some are gonna say I'm but to them I say ......I think you guys do a near perfect job at moderating. The mistakes are miniscule.

Thanks for sharing that info. with us. I think it should help with some of the hard feelings over this.
