Hi All,

I have ridden my nice new blue 2008 busa a few times now, and I must say I not impressed with the paint work on the tank

. Here in the UK we need to wear leathers most of the time. I have a tank protector at the rear of the tank to protect the paint, but the paint on the side of the tank seems to mark and scratch easily.  I'm 5' 11" in height, is it my riding position, or are you having similar problems!!!! Please note I'm 45 and have been riding motorbikes since 15 and not had this problem on other bikes.

Cheers

try some clear 3m or vinyl over the high-wear areas. I use thetankslapper.biz stuff on my tank to protect the painting Revolution did, and on the sides where my inner knees rest too.

I've noticed the exact same thing especially because I have a coax power lead (coming from the battery which feeds my heated gear) rubbing on the right side of the tank.

I'm really thinking about going with:

and possibly adding a matching tank bag with it.
