To all

I have had my 08 now for over a year and over 5K miles on it and been running the S@!t out of it ever since, the only real problem I've had was with the clutch bolts backing out against the cover. I dropped the cover and pulled them out one at a time put some loc-tight on them and has had my foot in her @ss since. I have the Neutral to First gear problem from time to time. What I do when this happens is release and then grab the clutch again and it will go into first with no problem.

Got my 08 new in February. Over 6000 miles later, no issues but the clutch bolts.

My only issue is that my tires don't seem to last very long. Used up the stock one in the 1st 1500 miles with no burn outs.....

Anything is an improvement over the stock ones, total garbage. Imagine buying a new Ferrari, and it came with bias ply tires. Someone at Suzuki needs their @ss kicked. Bridgestone Battlecrap. I bought a new gsxr1000 back in 02, same tires! I'm sorry, these are the new improved version on the Busa...and they still suck. However they seem to do really good burnouts, as they should, that's all they're good for. Wish I could've burned out the front and Gotten my moneys worth.

I have the same transmission issues. If it sits in neutral for too long (at a light for instance) I have to pump the clutch lever and it will BANG into first. I also have to unpredictable 5th to 6th shift. I have to make a real commitment to make the shift. Never had to do such a thing on the 2000 Busa or on my GSX-R1000.

Other than that she's perfect.

I did have the FI light come on, but it was due to disconnecting the clutch interlock. Disconnecting it interferes with the idle air control valve when at full warm engine temps and will cause stalling and the FI light to come on. I reconnected, what I removed and the problem was solved - so that was NOT Suzuki's fault.

I'll be checking my clutch sometime this week.

I brought mine on 6 Feb 09, I have 6500miles and I have had to put lock tite ion the clutch bolts.. As far as the neutral thing,,,, just ease out on the clutch a little and it will go into first every time. Oh yeah,, all I got was 6000 miles out of my tires too........ As far as the bike,,,,still no regrets, i love it...

At 5292 here is my 3rd back tire. Notice there is no flat spot from straight line riding on my Pilot Power. Riding is getting expensive

Hey you guys know that Suzuki will pay for the clutch bolt problem right? If you hear the noise, bring it to your local dealer and they'll take care of it for free. As far as the tires go, what's so bad about them? I was only able to get 600 miles on my K8 before I had to park it for the winter so I haven't had any issues yet.

Yep, it does and it's pretty easy to check yourself. If you have low miles on your bike you won't need a new gasket. Just pull the cover off and see if the 6 bolts are loose. Get some thread lock and torque them all back down. I did this when I did the 600 mile service on my 09 and it only took about 10 minutes since I had the fairing off all ready.

No issues what so ever with my k9.
Slight ticking in the engine but i can accept that while it wears in.
As for running it in i stayed under 8k rpm for the first 150 miles then gave her heaps.

No other issues to speak of, bike is awsome.

after not starting my 09 busa(1600 miles) for about 2 weeks when the weather was very cold (even in S.C.), it sounded like it was running on 2 cyclinders. had to cut the bike off and try it again. i noticed the ticking sound too, but i also found out that if i hold the clutch in for about 1 min. when starting, it will not tick. i hate that my new busa dont have a choke like my old 03 busa which didnt have any of these problems! i wonder sometimes did i make a mistake...
