I am trying to get rid of my back reflectors. I have know problem removing the reflectors. simply unscrew them, duh: but, taking the brackets off looks to be a little more detailed. Do I have to remove the tail section or is there a better way.

The tail section reflectors were tough to remove on the Gen 1s, so I can only imagine you'd have to do the something similar with the Gen 2s.

Remove the turn signal on each side (one Phillips head screw on each and you can get inside the tail section to the nuts holding the brackets. I just pulled down on the bracket while unscrewing it. If the nuts turn on the inside use a long flat tip screw driver (or a flex socket on a long extension)to hold it. After that I used a magnet to retrieve the loose nuts from the tail section.
