Since the cold will be coming, I've been reading up on heated...whatevers...as in heated gloves, grips, clothing, etc. Apparently, a minimum charging system output can be required in some instances to have enough juice to run your gear. 250 Watts seems to be the threshold based off the attached Gerbing review from Webbike World (this was the only such reference I found where output could cause a problem, but it did have me wondering). The Gen II is more than capable of safely running this type gear (based off my reading) Heated Motorcycle Jacket Liner - webBikeWorld. I did not see the charging system output listed and had to go to the manual...Section 1J-15 Gen II generator output - 400 Watts max @ 5,000r/min...more than enough based off the reading I've been doing. ______________________________________
