Hello everyone, thought I'd take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Alakso, I'm a certified M/C Tech, and I'm from the Penobscot Indian Nation in Maine. Traded-in my '08 Yamaha FJR1300 for a new White K9 Busa on Friday the 13th! Luckily the weather is still warm here in Maine and I'll get to ride my baby a little before I put her up for the Winter. Have ordered Helibars along with a Factory Tank Bra and Cover. Need to figure out if I'm going to be doing anything with the rear sets but have all winter to do that. Love my new baby!!!

Hey there, I have been lurking around for a wile, and I figure that I might as well join. From the Detroit area, I have a 08 black and gray busa. With 500 miles, I had a lady pull out right in front of me. Hit her and slid quite a ways. Safe to say that its away for a wile and slowly getting put back together. Anyone have a left mirror, bar end, or clutch lever? Looking forward to this wealth of information!

I would like to take a few minutes to introduce myself and than show you some pictures of the new chariot.

In early September I had a 2007 Suzuki GSX-R 1000 which was stolen and never recovered. Over the course of the next several weeks I was becoming heartbroken hearing all these sportbikes being stolen, I can say at least a dozen or so people have had their sportbikes stolen last season. I was really wondering if I should get another one or possibly make the transistion into something different.

After much thought and discussion with several friends of mine, I made the decision to get another sportbike. I was ready to pick up an 09 1000 until a friend of mine basically said this, "Buzzy, you are always complaining of your hand tingling, being uncomfy on long rides, why don't you look into a Busa"? I was like well to be honest I have never thought about it. I went down to the dealership with him and we ended up each getting one. He got the Silver 09 and I picked up the White 09.

I am Buzzy (Bill) I live in Clinton Township with my wonderful bride and our two dogs. I am turning 38 on Dec 28th and the wife is turning the big "30" on Dec 18th. I work as a property manager and she is an aerospace engineer. She did ride a 08 gsx-r 600 but sold it last week because we have decided to start a family in the spring and she wants to give up riding.

I look forward to many conversations with all of you in the future as well as possibly get together for some rides. I was able to take a few pictures, I have been unable to take the dealership stickers off or even clean it for that matter because I have been working soo much.

I just found out the rear cowl they gave me was from last years model, I will have to go to the dealership on tuesday to get the correct one!

Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction and looking forward to getting to know everyone!

p.s. Sorry for the pics being a little big, I don't have photoshop on the work computer to resize them! :(

One of my best friends who got to ride it home for from the dealership. This was his response when I asked him what did he honestly think of the Busa? I think the smile speaks for its self!

Well hi people, heres a new member to the Busa forums

Some info about me: My name is Gert ( i know lame..) I'm from the Netherlands and am aged 16 years old. :oh: So in Holland it means that i cannot ride a Busa till i get my heavy motor license. :( I do have a driver's license but just for the 50cc scooter that i have :Gilera Runner.
Well some of my hobby's are : The second world war, Motorcycles, Hayabusa ::6 and ehm ye hanging out with mates drinking some beer or so.

So hi everyone! :deadhorse:

p.s : If you wan't to know anything more about me just ask =D

I do not want another stripped down bike just to save on insurance. Surely there is something i don't know. If I don't find a better deal ($3000 per year!)then i will have to wait till next year when the truck is paid off. HELP PLEASE.

This morning I was honoured! to take delivery of my very own K9 busa. Here in Australia we are lucky enough that our government is paying 50% of new asset purchases for small businesses in order to stimulate our economy. How could you pass up a HALF PRICE BUSA?!!

I also got sick of riding my GS500F to the edge of reason in order to get anywhere at a decent pace.

First pics, then why I'm surprised by the beast....

MODS: Ventura rack, Helibars, Zuki Double Bubble.

Going from 50hp to 190hp, I assumed I'd be wheelying and sliding and throwing myself off, and just generally scared by this large bike. Truth be told, the word that keeps coming to mind whenever I ride it (it's been almost 24hrs now) is.................pussycat!!!

I've never experienced such broad, smooth torque, such inspiring handling, and such confident cornering. :cheerleader: Soooooooo glad I didn't go for a GSXR750 or 1000.

I am totally surprised by this bike. It's not the vicious flame breathing dragon trying to kill me that I've been told it is. It's a pussycat with the heart of a lion!

Hello All,

I lurked for a while before actually joining. Quite frankly the quality and helpfulness of this forum was a big factor in my choosing a Busa for my next bike.

I picked up my new to me 06 this past Monday. Mods are a PC3 and 2 bros slip on. Loving it so far. Very different from my 04 zx10r, but the Busa is tons more comfortable. Looking forward to getting acquainted with the new bike, and y'all. Heck I've even posted my first issue in the Busa Problems forum (speedometer related).

Here are pics. I think she's sexy as hell...

Hello all...its been awhile. I was an avid member of this group and met some really good people down in Texas. Then got into a crash last year, lost the busa and had complications with internal injuries. Damn I miss my bike, put alot of time and effort into her. I am in Oklahoma City now and bored out of my mind! I will be getting a new 2010 Hayabusa soon. If you remember me, please get back in touch. There's a lot of people I still owe a 'thank you' to for helping me. If you're in OKC and doing anything, please let me know...thanks.

Looking forward to riding with you all again, very soon!
Finally pulled the trigger on one I found at a good price in Texas and it arrived yesterday. I was a little nervous buying sight unseen but had a good feeling about the seller and my hunch paid off. The bike is beautiful, and near flawless! Anyway, just wanted to say hi to the forum.

Hey everyone. Ben here from sunny southern Arizona. Just picked up my "new to me" 06 Busa about a week ago and have been too busy riding to get on here and introduce myself.

Been riding off and on for about 18 years, but the Busa is my first bike since my daughter was born (5 years), when my wife "suggested" I get rid of the trusty old ZX9R. Also have owned a YZF750R, CBRF2, and started back in college in '91 on a Ninja 250.

Love the Busa so far! I'd been riding a buddy's 06 GSXR1K and was considering a liter bike, but glad I chose the Busa. Hoping to do a little touring around the southwest along with the work commute and weekend twisties, so it just seemed like the jack-of-all-trades. Besides, got a heck of a deal, wife gave the green light, so it was time. :cheerleader:

Anyway, sorry to make such a long first post. I've got quite a few questions but will save for later. Working on the marble mod this morning before football....

Hello, my name is Brian and I am currently 17 years old, and a Junior in High School. I plan on joining the Marine Corps when I graduate and I appreciate the top banner that says that these forums sopport the troops and their mission. In the State of California, to get a Motorcycle License, you need to have a Driver's License and to pass the Motorcycle Saftey Foundation Course. It's not really a Motorcycle License, it is just an additional graphic on the Driver's License that the person is permitted to ride motorcycles. That is for people under 18, but the graphic thing still applies for any age. Anyways, sorry for my huge post, but I really love the Suzuki Hayabusa. I know most people in the world do not reccomend the Hayabusa as the first bike, but I just want some futher clarification under my circumstances. I plan on getting my Driver's License, MSF Course, and Motorcycle License when I'm 18. I have never gotten in trouble in my life. Believe it or not, I have not gotten any Detentions, not even Time-Outs. I am extremely respectful of the law, and I have never drank or done drugs. Even if I could afford a Lamborghini, I would not speed to 200 miles per hour. That is just not me. I am quite diciplined, and I always follow rules. After reading these things, do you still think the Suzuki Hayabusa is still not a good bike for me to begin with? I plan on buying it with my own future Marine Corps salary. I will hopefully get some sort of Military discount, or if they don't offer it, I'll just pay full price. Either way, I really love this bike, and love even more my country.
