So, I needed some more lemon pledge, I'm at the grocery store and it has a coupon attached for a free can of Pledge Multisurface with purchase of any of the furniture polish.

Just installed HID's and I was out checking the adjustments on the highway tonight, came back.. re-aimed them like 300 times. Bike is covered in bugs.

Bust out the Multisurface for the first time. I swear, it's like magic!!!

Set out for a nice 500-600 mile solo ride today and after approx 100 miles I pull over to fuel up and after fueling she won't start. The most I could get is a rapid clicking noise coming from the starter I believe. I managed to push start her but I seriously do not recommend doing this with a Busa especially in full gear and Sidi boots, damn near droped her once. Anyhow I jump back on the freeway and make a mad dash for home with only 100 miles to go. About every 20 miles or so all the gauges start bouncing, all the instrument lights start going on and off and the bike is surging on and off as I'm droping gears gradually losing speed hoping she'll start running smooth once again. Down to 2nd gear I pull in the clutch and turn off the power switch for a few seconds while coasting on the shoulder, flip the power back on, pop the clutch and quickly accelerate back up to cruising speed. She repeats this approx every 20 miles or so. Thank God I did make it back home and she sat there idling like nothing was wrong, shut her off and tried to restart only to get the rapid clikcing noise again. Checked the voltage which registered 12.5 volts with the key off, turning the key on the meter drpoped to 8.5 volts. Is my Battery toast or is there something else going on here?

Well my bike fell of the kickstand at Eureka Springs while assisting a downed rider, forgot to stick the thing in gear before I took of running. Just as we lifted the bike off the down rider my Busa took a splash on the left side. No less than $1200 for all the left side plastic. Now the fun part. After pulling off all the plastic today today now I have a valid use for my snap together model skills I acquired as a youth. This Busa is one big snap together model! And now I know what the Japanese engineers did for a hobby growing up! Anyhow I have now reminded myself why it is important to due the $1200Kickstand Mod! Also I will be having a sale for all the left side plastic including the piece that holds the windshield and the turn signal on the left side. Plastic is only scratched with no cracks or brokens clips. PM me if inerested and I can haul to the fall bash. ::4

When I bought my 04 busa used, there was a little slop in the rear wheel. after getting it home i took the wheel apart and found the sprocket drum retainer worn on one side, the flanges on either side fit inside two of the bearings. the inside flange was worn considerably allowing the whole wheel to "tilt" side to side. I replaced that part as well as the bearings. now with less than 200 miles on the new parts i see a very small amount of slop showing up again. The local suzuki shop had never seen one of those go bad and had no idea about the root cause. Any ideas?

Well, I haven't been on the bike for about a month as it has been too hot outside. I am all geeked up and excited about riding and I change the oil the day before. Fresh full synthetic. I get up at 5:30am and get ready to ride. I leave at 6:00 before the sun is up. It is dark and cool. Awesome weather. I get on I-75 heading north and run about 80mph the whole way. The wind was buffeting me around and making the bike feel squirrelly, but I figured it was nothing.

I get to my turn around point (McDonalds) and I smell oil burning. I look at the bike and don't see anything so I figure it is a car nearby. I have my drink and head back to the bike and notice a small oil spot under the bike about 4 inches in diameter. I figure Dang the bolt must be leaking on the pan. I get on the ground (all 325lbs) and the bolt is bone dry. No leak there, so I check the oil filter and it is bone dry. Hmmm, I look around hoping a gasket is not leaking and I notice the oil filler cap is not there! I figure I forgot to put it on yesterday when I changed the oil. :banghead:

Well, now I'm pissed! I'm so dang mad at myself I'm practically hopping around in the parking lot. I look at the bike and GOOD GOSH the ENTIRE bike from the oil filler hole on back is coated in brand new synthetic oil!! The back tire has about one third coated to the oil filler side. Oil all over my back brake rotor. I then notice my Kevlar Draggin Jeans on my right side are coated/drenched in oil and my tennis shoe is soaked in oil. I calm down after some passerby gentlemen point out I have an oil leak! I call the Bike Tow number on my phone. They take 3 hours to come get me and drop it at the Dealer. I then have to take a cab home from the dealer. The dealer is cleaning it up, installing new rear brake pads and ordered a new filler cap.

So, all in all this was my ride:

Synthetic oil change - $35.00 saved $20 by doing it my self.
Leaving oil all over the north bound lanes of I-75 - Free
Soaking my shoe and jeans in oil - Free
Soaking the bike in oil - Free
Bike Tow - $125.00
Dealer - $135.00
Yellow Cab - $20.00
Knowing I saved that initial $20 on the oil change- PRICELESS!!!:banghead:

Luckily it was only down about 3/4 of a quart so it was no big deal. The buffeting by the wind was my tire getting oil under it. Thank God I didn't go down!:please:

The trials and tribulations of a biker!

Someone know if Brocks make a customer order for dual alien heads (not slip ons!!!). I love the look suspended of the alien head, not inserted on the rear foot peg.

I think we can use the dual CT header with rigth conventional alien head and one for the left one conventional alien head modified?

Nothing its impossible!!!

Finally decided to get into the fuel pump of my 2000 hayabusa to clean the screens and do the inline fuel filter mod. Well getting to it wasn;t hard, taking it apart has been hell. EVERYTHING seems cemented into place. The screws were pretty much rounding off and i had to use pliers, wd-40 and alot of anger to twist the damn things off. threads look fine and screws arent bad but will most likely replace them. That was just to get the damn thing apart in half. I still have the screws holding the fuel pressure regulator(?) what contains the smaller screen that gets clogged to somehow get off. However the fuel filter retainer plate i just plain cannot budge. It doesn't even look the same as the one shown in the service manual:
Pulling and yanking on this damn thing with pliers obviously seems like a no no. But how to get it out of there? Its stuck in there pretty good. The fuel screen thats part of the pump insulator that wraps around it was stuck in the casing when i pulled the pump out. Drowned it in wd-40 and was finally able to yank it out of there. You can see it in the background around the fuel pump. Screen was as dark brown as the rest of the thing is. Cleaned it with contact brake cleaner but i will probably just cut em altogether. Providing i don't ruin this damn thing and have to replace it outright :x
