you can get the same switch for less from any auto parts store. You need the Honda accord fan switch.

It doesn't make the bike run cooler. The engine coolant temp is regualted by the thermostat. What this switch does do is turn the radiator fan on sooner at a lower temp and shuts off at a lower temp as well. It can help keep the temps better regulated. The OE sensor waits until the coolant temp is higher before the fan kicks on which means it's got to work that much ahrder to get the temp back down. Then the OE sensor also shuts off soooner which in turn means it'll have to turn on again sooner to control the temps.

    I hope that makes sense

I knew that was going to be your next question... unfortunatly I don't know it off the top of my head and my note books are at home. I'll look it up tonight. You could probably do a search and stumble across it in a post some where.

Not to threadjack, but has anyone used the after-market radiator cap? Is it really worth it?

I've used a 22psi cap. The only gain is the extra security in knowing that your cooling system would need to reach even higher temps before boil over.

This isn't always a good idea because it means your whole engine will be overheating. I've gone back to using the OE cap.

    stolen from another board...

don't remember the year either, but the NAPA part number on the box is FS244. The number on the barcode on the box is R882467.

The connector is unique to that switch, too, the Busa one won't fit. When I knew the year Accord, I went to a junkyard and clipped one off a wreck.

I checked through some of my notes last night. Somewhere I wrote down the years (think mid 90's), model (think 6 cyl, 4dr), and everything else. All I could find at the time was the autozone part number Wells TU197.

As suzuki said it's best to rip the connector off a junker.

It's fits fine but the electrical connector has to be swapped. Get a connector off of a junker.

I just did the Honda fan switch change and it was pretty simple. Fan turns on at 93 instead of 108 or something like that. I also went to the first honda I saw at the wrecking yard and pulled the right connector off. I think its a fairly standard part in hondas. Anyway when I bought the controller here is the list they gave of cars that use the same control switch. Kinda long but should give you much more options.

Default Re: keep busa cooler with a lower temp.sensor

Ok well with the Honda fan switch and Honda fan switch plug my fairing would not go on. It sticks out too far. I ended up breaking off the connector so that was a waste of time. I thought all was lost for a bit then I just soldered the two wires to the two leads coming out of the sensor. Works fine now just it did not go exactly how I would have liked it to go. First time for that.
