 High Intensity Red Rotating 1157 Bulb
I have a High Intensity Red Rotating 1157 LED Bulb that lights very dimly...what can I do to get it to work better?

Bad ground? Or does it need more resistance in the circuit

Do you have the entire part no. ? The 1157s I looked at are either 6V or 24V. You might have a 24V LED.

There is no stamp on the bulb and there is no mention of volts on the original packing. The bulb works perfect when I start it up, then if I drive a couple of blocks it starts to fade. I tapped this circuit from my modified undertail LED brake/tail lights as a third light. I'm actually using the original turn signal housing as the 3rd light. I attached it to my custom license plate frame and I thought the housing was grounded through circuit. I'm not sure if I had to add a resistor to the circuit or not. |
