Default Abc?

Probably a dumb question, but here goes.......after you have a PC3R and custom map installed, does the ABC settings switch still work the same on an 08 busa? Thx

From what I've heard the answer to your question is NO!!! The ABC will not work anymore. Don't know this first hand but I remember reading it in a couple previous threads regarding the need or lack of need for a PCIII on the 08 and it's ability to "remap" itself and that you might only gain a couple Hp and not be able to retain the function of the ABC power mode switch. I think it was a tuner who said this.

The ABC (AKA Dummy down a great running bike for someone who has yet to learn throttle control. Flame away.) will still work after the PCIII is installed. The PCIII will apply the same changes to the selected drive mode as it does in the native running mode. I haven't tried dynoing it in each mode, but I do know the bike runs in each mode.

To simplify it:

The PCIII adds it's map to anything the ECU sends to the fuel injectors.

It will work just fine. The DMS (Drive Mode Selector) still affects the way the bike runs.

Finally, an answer, THANK YOU I ALSO AGREE with you about the ABC switch(why the HELL would they put this on a 200mph bike ) However, IT's ON THERE! And i just want to know whether something works or not. Probably NEVER EVER touch it, haven't yet, but at least i know it will work if i ever do

It still works after the power commander. Power commander doesn't change the ecu map, it just adds to it before the signal is sent to the injectors. When you have your bike tuned, ask your tuner to do pulls in each mode. You can see how the hp and torque is cut in each mode.

I've been playing with these modes in drag racing. The "c" mode is good for launching and my 60's stayed really consistant. Bad part about it is trying to change back to "A" mode while keeping the throttle pinned. I'm still playing with relays to be able to use both modes will racing. I wish they would have put the mode switch on the left side.

Thx king, You know thats an AWESOME IDEA I didnt think you could change modes while the bike was moving though I guess i need to play around with mine a little more I think you definitely could be on to something BIG here, like you said "use c mode for the dig, than switch up from there", PLEASE let me know what you come up with
BTW, its too bad one couldn't incorporate this ABC switch/circuit into (3) CUSTOM MAPS?
