Angry

Just wanted to say goodbye to a great group of people. I've gotten wonderful tips and advise from many peeps here. Definitely the best bike forum I've found!

I'm done with bikes. I sold most of my riding gear today. Everyone in my family, and my doctor, is telling my "No more motorcycles"! I need to get surgery on my back and shoulder (because of motorcycles), and if I do anymore damage to my back, I may endup getting a couple of vertebrae fused, and my wife will leave me.

I need to take the next few months to fix a few things in my marriage, too. Fiona doesn't have a bad feelings about the people here. I just need to make a few drastic changes from now on. I've made some big mistakes lately, and I've got a bad temper.

Fiona and the boys are saying that I scare them at times. I'm going to go get some anger management training. Nothing better to call it.

I told her that I would give up motorcycles, but I would like to get a real sports car. I traded my car in earlier than we had agreed.

I guess I'm just a selfish, self-centered ass!

I guess I have alot to work on over the next few months, while we finish the work on our house so we can put it up for sale.

I don't think she wants to work it out, and I know I'll loose the boys. I'll never get custody rights from Fiona, and her ex. If they leave I'll have nothing left to go on for. When we got married we said "Till death do we part". She needs to be here for Joshua and Lukas, so I'll take the bullet for them. With the house sold, and the insurance money, she will be pretty comfortable for many years.

I may stop by later and let you know if things are improving or not.

Best wishes to all.

Ride safe,

Doug

Dayum dood....just....dayum. I wish I could say something that could help ya out. I don't think that I can, though. It sounds like you got a bunch of stuff to work out....I really hope that it works out for the best.

If you ever need us, you know that we'll be here. Stop by...soak up some love and vent with us.

If you need to, you can always shoot me a line, bud. I can't promise that I'll make it better, but I can promise that I can try. Best of luck, Doug...I'll pray for you and your family.

Godspeed, brother...Godspeed.

Hang in there dewd. Just remember that things are never as bad as they seem. You will get through. Things will get better.

If the worst happens and you and your wife split, your kids will still need their dad.

Best wishes for you and your family.

Family first. And it's a good man that can admit he needs help. Good luck to you and take it a day at a time.

Our thoughts are with you and your family. Good on you for prioritizing your life, but remember that you have to have something for yourself....try not to give up everything that makes you, well, you.

A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience, raised a
>glass of water and asked, "How heavy is this glass of water?"
>
>Answers called out ranged from 20 g to 500 g. *The lecturer replied, "The
>absolute weight doesn't matter. *It depends on how long you try to hold it."
>
>"If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem. *If I hold it for an
>hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm."
>
>"If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance."
>
>"In each case, it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier
>it becomes."
>
>He continued, "And that's the way it is with stress management."
>
>"If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden
>becomes increasingly heavy, we won't be able to carry on. *As with the glass of
>water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. *When
>we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden."
>
>"So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down. *Don't
>carry it home. *You can pick it up tomorrow. *Whatever burdens you're carrying
>now, let them down for a moment if you can. *Relax, pick them up later after
>you've rested. *Life is short. *Enjoy it!"
>
>And then he shared some ways of dealing with the burdens of life:

> *1. *Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue.
> *2. *Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.
> *3. *Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.
> *4. *Drive carefully. *It's not only cars that can be recalled by their maker.
> *5. *If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.
> *6. *If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
> *7. *Never buy a car you can't push.
> *8. *Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you *won't
>have a leg to stand on.
> *9. *Nobody cares if you can't dance well. *Just get up and dance.
>10. *Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.
>11. *The second mouse gets the cheese.
>12. When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.
>13. *Birthdays are good for you. *The more you have, the longer you live.
>14. *You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world
>to one person.
>15. *Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
>16. *We could learn a lot from crayons. *Some are sharp, some are pretty
>and some are dull. *Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but
>they all have to live in the same box.
>17. *A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

>HAVE AN AWESOME DAY AND KNOW THAT SOMEONE HAS THOUGHT ABOUT YOU TODAY
>
>................I DID.
