I've always loaded my maps while the bike was on. I tried to update my firmware and the bike died. does any one know what prong is the hot and ground on these? I only need to power it long enough to update the firmware.

I tried running it without it and the bike doesn't run well at all.

Bump the idle up a bit. 95% of the time I swap my maps with the bike running.

I wasn't switching maps I was updating the firmware. The process started then the bike cut off, and it never finished the process.

My bad.... yep you have to have the battery for that. Hang on and I'll look at mine to see what the pins are.

That would mean Looking at the PC, Black would be upper left, and red lower right. Right?
