clutch/brake Fluid color etc.

NewB here; first bike is my '05 Busa (gray/black) now with 600 miles. The color of the fluid in the clutch/brake reservoir has turned from clear to amber, but the fluid in the right hand brake reservoir has remained clear. Is this normal? Had first service today and they did not know...

Amber is OK.....if it gets darker, then use the bleeder screws and flush it out with some fresh fluid

Thanks a lot. I will locate the bleeder screws (where are they? Pardon my naivete; first bike, most experience is in musclecars!) and do as recommended if the color continues to darken.

The clutch is up and left of your shifter under the fairing and the brake is on the calipers

Heat is the big factor - thats why the clutch fluid gets dark first because of the location of the slave cylinder and brake fluid attracts water - read this Click here
