Stripped threads

I've stripped the threads on two holes in my front wheel and its the holes where the brake discs secure to. Would it be ok to repair with helicoils.

Regards dp:banghead:

helicoil installs can be ok, but the quality of the install is everything. thread-serts are a little more forgiving, but making sure that your holes are just so, your installs just so...everything true...

i would use thread-serts. then test, if there was ANY question as to the repair holding specified torque... new wheel.

the last thing you want is a sub-par repair holding your front brake rotors on!

How did you strip them?

Gen 1 or 2

And you are talking about the rotor bolts, correct?
