Please help

I have a 2000 Busa, and I bought 2006 chrome switches that didnt work, so I got a set off a 2002 off Ebay, the left switch plugs in but the small connector that goes to the clutch, has 3 slots for the connector to slide in, but my bike only has 2 slots for it to slide in too. What am I doing besides going crazy???

That third one on the harness may be the flash to pass. I am not sure if the 2002 had that, but I think it started in 05 and up.

Not sure if this will help, but maybe:
I did a whole thing with pictures, etc that will get you from 1999-2000 wiring to use with newer switches. You may have to reverse, I think I swapped to 06 wiring harness and kept my 99 switches, but the wiring will be the same colors, just reverse.
