Can the Fuel-Level Sender be reconditioned ??

My fuel level gadget on my bike is not working (that I'm assuming) without checking the resistance as specified in my manual, waiting for the temp to raise this morning before attempting the task. If it tests bad which I'm assuming so, is there anything I can to recondition it or "better it" ? I'm pretty mechanically handy, I'm getting the 92 code (reading full tank). This is the fuelpump/level all in one unit, from an 02 year. I have a 99 with a newer swap.

Tufbusa posted a couple weeks ago about how to take out the float/sending unit and readjust it, but don't know about reconditioning it.

I've never encountered this issue. I would remove the float assembly via the filler cap and check all the wires to make sure everything was functioning properly. Move the float up and down watching the fuel guage etc.

My guess is you'll have to replace the entire fuel float setup if it's haywire?
