How to check a charging hayabusa

Something problem occured with my 1999 Hayabusa

I guess It might be Battery and charging system

I started the engine for a while and then the motor seem like be down

for 1-2 minute agos My hayabusa was shut down with itself

and I noticed
the Headlight seem be down and also at cockpit too
I made a deceide to buy new Battery

until I've replaced new Battery
Everything seem become fine

becuase I did't test ridind it much

Now I hestitage what the really problem is?? a charge system or Battery Or BOTH!!

I wanna know How it check a charging system

get volt meter and hook it up to the battery before u start the bike, should be 12+vdc keep looking at the meter as u start the bike and it should not go lower than 9vdc and as it idles watchs the volts see if it charges or if it just goes down untill it dies, could be regulator/stator/wiring issues the battery itself many things.

Running should be between 13.8 and 14.5 volts I believe.Check all connections for loose and dirty connectors.My rectifier went out and it was charging at 18 volts.Luckily I caught it in time before I fried the battery.This was the cause of my HIDs going out.
