Brock's Lever Cam Install Problems!!

Just installed the clutch cushion and am trying to remove the lever cam. Can't figure this one out. What did you use to get the spring down. Directions are a little vague. What's the trick? Help!!

Step 1: Get a sheet or light colored blanket and lay it down on the floor.

Step 2: get another sheet or light colored blanket

Step 3: Take lever, cam, and little PITA bearing and cover yourself with the second sheet or blanket.

I used a razor blade or Xacto blade to help hold the bearing down as you replace the cam. Practice several times without the bearing so you get the feel of it

So you used a blade to push the spring down to remove the cam from the lever and the ball is on top of the spring. Is that right??

No and yes.... I just twisted the knob to get it out. Then I took the lever off and took it insideto put the new cam in. That is when I used the blade.
