brake pads

i bought new pads for the front and i'm looking at them now and one set is thicker than the other. this is the first time i'm changing the pads on her so i don't know if the shop gave me the wrong pads or do the thinker go on one side and thinner on the other or what? if someone could help me out i would appreciate it. i checked the forums and repair manuals can't find anything that says the pads should be two different thickness's.

one set off pads are thicker than the other, which ones go where? does one caliper get one thick, one thin or do both the thick pads go on the same caliper?

not a dealer, from a local motorcycle parts store.

bike shop said there must be a mix up, so back to the shop i go. thanks guys.
