Oil pressure question

Question, On the busa if the oil pump starts going bad does the oil pesssure sender send a signal to the computor to say I dont have enough oil pressure shut down the motor?
Or will it just make the oil pressure light go on?

Usually by the time the oil light comes on (red flicker of death) the damage is done.

I do not have the gauge cluster hooked up du to thi is in a Jr Comp Dragster.
I will hook it up on the stand and check.
