Default my 4yo messed with my throttle cable knob

Ok, so I found my kid out twisting the little knob up on the cable by the grip. Now my throttle hangs when I release the grip and then drops down. How do I properly re adjust this?
what way is giving or taking slack out?

Turn it clockwise and screw it in all the way. This will give you excess slack in the cable and your throttle will have excess free play. Now turn it counter clockwise and screw it our or lengthen the cable. Take about one turn at a time and check the free play in the throttle. If you reach a point there is no free play in the throttle at all, you've gone to far. back it off a tad until you have a little free play. Once you are happy with the free play, start the bike. At idle turn the bars from stop to stop. If the engine idle speed increases you'll need to give it a bit more slack in the cable by turning the knob clockwise a turn or two.

That's so cool Daniel. My middle son adjusted the front fender on my escort when he was about 4 or 5 with a pall pen hammer. I was under the car doing an oil change and he was helping. My first reaction was kill him, but my second reaction was how cute daddy's little helper. I miss those days

Ok well I'm not making any progree. Every time I turn it to the right it makes the throttle rise up the 2000 rpms. The little adjuster knob is not making a diff. With the tank lifted up I can see that's there is no slack on the bottle pull cable and what happears to be slack and upper return cable. Any help guys??

Do what I do ... turn things and see what happens !!

Ah seriously, your trying to get the slack outta the throttle, did mine the other day, up near the throttle > 2 cables coming out the bottom, i think its the top one (dont quote me) jig around with the throttle as your adjusting it u will feel it tighten up. Hope that helps or i've got it all wrong ?

Its seems as if there no slack....the RPMs raise when I turn the bars to the right. How do I add slack? The adjuster by the throttle is not helping.
