lack of power

I have a 2005 with 31,000 miles and cant get above 6.5 grand on my tack when i hold wide open if i let off the a little it will climb more and when i hammer back on it it cuts off like a gov. I have changed my plugs but no change. it was burning rich for some time when i floored it i would get black smoke and i could smell the gas but now i dont! any help would be great

Got the same on me 99 busa, Tank had been rusty is passed then treated, i bought it and i fink the coating is going bad, constantly foweling the filters/sreans in the fuel line and injectors, trying to clean it all out, 1st tank the external pump apart and clean, then run sum injector cleaner through,neet as poss. change plugs. fingers crossed

Get a fuel pump will go right away...
