Heated Grips

I want to put some heated grips on before the cold weather sets in. Do you guys have any suggestions and are they hard to do?

I HAVE HOT GRIPS ON MY 01' BUSA AND I LOVE THEM. THIS COMPANY IS GREAT! YOU CAN TRY TO ORDER FROM YOUR DEALER OR DIRECTLY THROUGH THEM. SITE IS HOTGRIPS.COM AND THE PRICE IS $110, $3 EPOXY, AND SHIPPING WAS ABOUT $8. I ALSO PURCHASED A "HEAT-TROLLER" FOR $49.95 THIS REGULATES THE AMOUNT OF HEAT YOU NEED. I PERSONALLY DID NOT LIKE THE TOGGLE SWITCH THAT CAME W/ THE GRIPS.
THE HEAT OUTPUT IS 8WATTS ON LOW AND 18 WATTS ON HIGH PER GRIP. HERE IS THE TEL# 603-448-0303 LOCATED IN N.H. I BELIEVE THE PART# IS 475-875 DOUBLE CHECK THAT JUST IN CASE. GOOD LUCK!
DISADVANTAGES: HOT GRIPS ARE ALOT LARGER THAN YOUR STOCK GRIPS. DIAMETER IS
MUCH THICKER AND VERY HARD.

YOU WOULD ALSO HAVE TO SHAVE A BIT OF THE PLASTIC AT THE TOP
OF THE THROTTLE. UNDER THE GRIP THERE IS A PLATE THAT BLOCK'S
THE "HOT GRIP" FROM SLIDING COMPLETELY ON.

ADVANTAGES: YOUR HANDS WILL STAY PRETTY DAMN WARM AT EXTREME COLD
TEMP'S.

THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT COME W/ THEM ARE VERY DESCRIPTIVE AND
EASY TO FOLLOW. THEY ALSO GIVE YOU A DIAGRAM AS WELL.
