Tool Kit Holder

I was looking at it last night and wondered if it would be easy to cut the raised portion out and just rivet a replacement piece (plastic or aluminum) with a little gasket seal around the bottom to ensure a good seal. This would give a pretty good chunk of usable space under the seat or the hump.

Hell, who has used the tool kit anyway??

If I do it I will give a step by step, seems like it would be easy..

It makes a nice holder for my shifter kill box........
Also will hold a pack of smokes with a lighter on top of it perfectly..........

warbrown needed mine last weekend...you just never know when you'll need it!

Just cut a hole in the underside of the hump...tons of space up there...

The only time you will need your toolkit is when you don't have it with you.

So, if you never want to use it, I recommend you keep it in there.

Murphy's Law .. If you don't have it , you'll need it .. But I did replace the shiddy tools with decent ones..

I removed mine once........ I happen to need it that day also... never again.... even though the quality of tools suck.... it pays to have something when you need it.

I use mine all the time. He!!, the spark plug wrench is pretty damn useful.

I keep mine on the bike at all times for emergencies. I don't use it for maintenance at the house, I have real tools for that.

I replaced my tool kit with this one. It might be a bit spendy but i felt it was worth it

After fouling (3) sets of plugs while ON THE ROAD I wont leave home without the tool kit, spare plugs, small mini poncho, CO2 air pump (mini), cell phone cord, flash light, knife, mini first aid kit (life threatning stuff), and a folded up trash bag to cover my shytt, $20.00, a xerox copy of my drivers license stapled to my registration and insurance card, Highlighted on that is my alergy list, emergency contacts, and next of kin information. Also under seat is air shifter bottle, PCII, light modules for neons (not removed yet), strap down net, eye glasses, alarm stuff, ATRE and a bicycle chain to strap my shytt to the back tire if I gotsa walk. Under drivers seat, yellow box, alarm stuff, two zip lock style but thicker bags with things in it like mini tube of green slime emergency tire fix. Sucks but make it home. Take advantage of the space you never know when you will be stuck.

I swear I thought the best mod would be to cut out and reverse hinge a door on each inner panel, mold a box beneith them and have glove boxes!

Still gonna do that one day.
