Well shame that DD has this issue trying to get his money back on his oil cooler.. You get a guy that sells stuff, he should have enough smarts to put tracking numbers on the goods.. Now he expects a buyer to eat the loss because he was a cheap ass and flaked out on the shipping costs.. Seems to me you should include the costs of shipping in the sales price..
I am thinking a campaign against these guys could be fun.. order chit, no tracking number and then jerk the payment via paypal dispute..
is this unethical? could be but asking an innocent buyer to take a hit because you cheap out on shipping sure stinks of a rip off..
Looks like the Canucks are going to band together on this lousy business practice as well..

Technically, once the goods leave the sellers control, the seller is no longer esponsible for the "well-being" of the goods. It sucks, but that's the way it is.
I have a little on-line jewelry business and I make sure I send everything over $50 with insurance and send tracking numbers to my (very few) customers. Buyers should always demand a tracking number or pull funding.
Most sellers and most buyers are honest and not out to screw the other, but there are small percentage that are the opposite or just plain inexperienced/stupid and they don't have alerts telling you which category they're in.Posted 01-25-2009 at 08:48 AM by HRHDi
