I wasn't going to bring this up until we had answers, but...at my 6 month check up and sonogram in August, my doctor found 2 more troubling spots on the left side of my neck. I had a biopsy on August 17 and waited on pins and needles for the results...nothing for 10 days only to find out that the samples were "non-diagnostic" meaning I get to do it all again.

Today is the last day of Spring Break for about 90% of the schools in Texas. I took yesterday and today off to spend with our youngest (16) while he's out of school. Although the 2 older kids (22 and 20) aren't in school, they still live at home and we try to spend lots of time together. Yesterday was kind of a bust as far as spending time together, but it was relaxing. Today, however, was another story.

As with most of the country, the company I work for is having a very difficult time. I work in the Finance group of the F&B Purchasing department of a national casual dining restaurant chain.

I love this company and have been here since Oct. 1997. We are very family oriented, casual and couldn't have been more supportive of me and my family during the past 18 months and my health issues. I love the leadership of my group.

Okay, just like every other profession, some are, but, please, everyone, when you suspect something's wrong - go to the doctor! I realize that there may be financial concerns, but if you can swing it all, just go.

Things don't just "go away" if one ingores it. Denial doesn't make something not so.

I own up to being a Texas snob...you know the type, you can't find anything better than you can find it in Texas. I will stick to that with a few exceptions. One of which, Texas has no mountains. Well, neither does Oklahoma, but they're closer to the foothills and it gives a good mountainous illusion.
