gear indicator

for the last week when I go into first gear the indicator goes blank.
All other gears show up.
It only does it for a while than it works fine for a while all of the sudden 1st wont show up again.



ANY IDEAS ????????????

I had same problem with GIPro in 5th and 6th. It was showing 0, then 5, then 0 again. I have taken it to mechanic and they had to recalibrate or adjust some sensor plate by gear or clutch (right side of the engine I think). Anyway that helped. Is yours Gen 1 or 2?

I have not had this problem yet but I would think it is the gear position sensor going bad, it is hooked on the front sprocket, I had to take it off when I changed gears, you could see if something is maybe loose, or take it to the dealer, that is what they make warranty's for.
